چکیده

Surface coating of cathodes is an essential process for all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) based on sulfide electrolytes as it efficiently suppresses interfacial reactions between oxide and electrolytes. Based computational calculations, Li3PO4 has been suggested a promising material because its higher stability with sulfides optimal ionic conductivity. However, hardly applied to the ASSBs due absence suitable process, including selection source that compatible ASSBs. In this study, polyphosphoric acid (PPA) (NH4)2HPO4 were used materials preparing ASSBs, properties layer coated compared. The fabricated using was rough inhomogeneous, which not protection cathodes. Moreover, water-based solution can deteriorate electrochemical performance high-Ni are vulnerable water. contrast, when alcohol-based solvent used, PPA enabled formation thin homogeneous cathode surface. As consequence, containing Li3PO4-coated prepared by exhibited significantly enhanced discharge rate capabilities compared pristine or source.

Magnesium Ethylenediamine Borohydride as Solid-State Electrolyte for Magnesium Batteries

Solid-state magnesium ion conductors with exceptionally high ionic conductivity at low temperatures, 5 × 10-8 Scm-1 at 30 °C and 6 × 10-5 Scm-1 at 70 °C, are prepared by mechanochemical reaction of magnesium borohydride and ethylenediamine. The coordination complexes are crystalline, support cycling in a potential window of 1.2 V, and allow magnesium plating/stripping. While the electrochemical...

An all solid-state electrochemical electrolyte analyzer.

Ion-selective electrodes have been applied to analysis of blood electrolytes with some success. However, currently available ion-selective electrode systems tend to be elaborate and expensive. We describe a clinical electrolyte analyzer in which inexpensive ion-selective electrodes are used. The elec‘trodes are in the configuration of thin wires and are all solid in construction. They may be di...

First principles study on electrochemical and chemical stability of solid electrolyte–electrode interfaces in all-solid-state Li-ion batteries

All-solid-state Li-ion batteries based on ceramic solid electrolyte materials are a promising next-generation energy storage technology with high energy density and enhanced cycle life. The poor interfacial conductance is one of the key limitations in enabling all-solid-state Li-ion batteries. However, the origin of this poor conductance has not been understood, and there is limited knowledge a...
